About Streaming Passport
Streaming Passport answers one question: where in the world is this movie or show streaming? Services license films and series country by country, so a title can be on Netflix in one country, on Max in another, and nowhere at all in a third. Streaming Passport puts all of that on one page.
Where the information comes from
- Streaming availability comes from the Streaming Availability API by Movie of the Night, which tracks the catalogs of major subscription, free and rental services in more than 60 countries and is updated daily.
- Title search uses Wikidata, the free knowledge base behind Wikipedia, so suggestions appear as you type.
- Free VPN plans and their server countries are checked by hand against each provider's own website.
How current it is
Searches on the homepage are looked up live and kept for about a day. Pages for popular titles are refreshed every week, and each page shows when it was last checked. Catalogs can change overnight, so always check the service before you subscribe.
How the site is funded
Streaming Passport is free and shows ads. Some VPN links are affiliate links that earn a commission on paid plans. Neither changes what's listed; the affiliate disclosure explains how.
